Kids will discover \u201cLand of 1,000 Dead Trees\u201d (wetlands), \u201cGrandfather Rock\u201d (bog), \u201cFern Meadow\u201d, \u201cFantasy Forest\u201d, streams, ponds and Dyken Pond.\u00a0 We are a natural area filled with opportunities to explore, discover and learn about the natural world and our connection to it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-181\" title=\"See things differently\" src=\"http:\/\/www.friendsofdykenpond.org\/dykenpond\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/sola09-00310.jpg\" alt=\"SOLA09 003\" width=\"262\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>COMPETENT LEADERS<\/p>\n<p>Professional environmental educators and trained staff members enjoy sharing their expertise and enthusiasm with young people.\u00a0 We limit group size to 25 children per week to ensure a safe and optimal experience for participants.<\/p>\n<p>SCHEDULE<\/p>\n<p>All programs run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. <!-- After care hours are available until 4pm for $10 per hour.&nbsp; Participants must bring their own lunch, snack and drink. --><br \/>\n<!-- --><br \/>\nREGISTRATION AND FEES<\/p>\n<p>One week session: $250 per participant or $225 members.<br \/>\nTwo week session: $480 per child or $430 members.<\/p>\n<p>Membership rate is given to\u00a0those holding a current FAMILY MEMBERSHIP.\u00a0 Upon receipt of your reservation form and fee, you will receive confirmation of acceptance.\u00a0 Acceptance is on a first-come\u2014first-served basis.\u00a0 Membership forms can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/dykenpond.org\/?page_id=30\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Camp Sessions for 2026:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Children can attend one OR two week sessions. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TOUCH THE EARTH<\/span>\u2014AGES 6 -10 \u00a0July 13\u00a0 &#8211; July 17 \u00a0 and\/or \u00a0July 20 &#8211; July 24 <\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s get curious!\u00a0 Kids get to \u201cunplug\u201d and discover fun ways to get a close look at wild things.\u00a0 Playful activities\u00a0\u00a0 focus on developing a connection with nature through expanding a sensory awareness.\u00a0 A focus on nature discovery keeps young minds growing and learning while fostering a comfort in and love of nature.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SIBLINGS WEEK<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0AGES 6 &#8211; 13\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 July 27 &#8211; July 31 <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u00a0<\/span>This week is for all ages.\u00a0 Campers will break up into different age groups for activities.
