This year’s Friends’ Annual Dinner was on

Our guest speaker this year was Thomas Gregg, Western MA Common Loon Field Biologist for the Biodiversity Research Institute.
Thomas presented Restoring the Call: Common Loon Reintroduction in the Northeast.
This presentation gave a full life history of the Common Loon (Gavia Immer)
before delving into the many conservation strategies the Biodiversity Research Institute
has employed to restore this species in New England and beyond.
The buffet dinner was provided by Paolo Lombardi’s at a cost of $45.00 per person
The menu included: Garden Salad, Baked Ziti, Mini Meatballs, Chicken Balsamico, Sauteed Mixed Vegetables, Asparagus & Mushroom Risotto, Bread and Butter, Cake, Coffee, Tea and Water.
To attend the dinner, payment for each dinner reservation must have beeen received by Sunday October 12, 2025. Dinner is open to all, so please invite your friends, too, as Dyken Pond celebrates 52 years of environmental education, outdoor recreation and youth development.
