Earth Day in April 9 am – 12 with lunch provided by the Friends
Trails Day in June 9 am – 12 with lunch provided by the Friends
We meet at the Center by 9 am on these days and our Director will let us know what work we will accomplish those days.

Trail Trackers – Track out or break trail on snowshoes or cross country skis for others to follow. Volunteers needed sporadically through winter mid week and on weekends. Center will loan snowshoes to those without. Adults and kids.

Trail Guardians – Adopt -a- Trail or check trails on a regular basis. Clear small debris and branches from trail to keep them clear for hikers and winter trekkers. Adults and kids.  Perfect service project for youth or outdoor organizations.

Trail Champions – Help clear trails of large fallen trees using chain saw or axe. Adults only, of course.

Weekend Meet & Greet – Be on the property on weekends to say hello to visitors, give out trail maps and rent snowshoes. This is a very relaxing role with access to our great natural history library in between visitors.

Outreach – Bring Dyken Pond materials to community festivals and fairs!

Board Member – Learn more about what it means to be a Friends of Dyken Pond board member.
